The opportunity
We are seeking experienced GPs to provide culturally appropriate primary healthcare to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in Narooma , on the stunning NSW South Coast. You’ll work as part of a supportive team of GPs, nurses, Aboriginal Health Workers and allied health staff, delivering comprehensive care in a welcoming environment.
The clinic uses Best Practice software, with a minimum of 20 minutes per consultation. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm, with no on-call, after-hours or weekend requirements. Locums are required for a minimum of three weeks, with longer blocks available.
For this role, the GP will also be required to assist in the outreach clinic in Wallaga Lake once a fortnight.
Experience in Aboriginal Health is essential for this position.

How to get there

Essential criteria
Fellowship with RACGP and/or ACRRM
Current AHPRA Specialist GP Registration
Eligible for a Medicare provider number with full billing rights
Experience in rural or remote healthcare, ideally Indigenous health
Cultural awareness and sensitivity in Aboriginal health contexts
