As a Transport Supervisor at DHL, you'll overcome daily logistical challenges to ensure operations run smoothly. • Be the main contact between customer, carriers, dispatch points and planning teams, facilitating relationships that yield continuous improvement.
• Work with our operations and planning teams to monitor information and priorities, ensuring the correct scheduling of containers for distribution on our transport solution-based networks.
• Execute transport plans at a national level and effectively monitor performance, identifying any opportunities for improvement.
• Work closely with our internal stakeholders including our transport, sales, finance and warehouse teams to coordinate the most efficient and cost-effective delivery schedules for our customers.
• Support the Linehaul Manager with the coordination and overseeing day-to-day movements of vehicles to ensure all operations are executed on time and safely.
• Ensure maximum productivity is achieved through dedicated and informed planning.
• Take reasonable and practicable actions to verify and ensure activities comply with relevant legislation, and company policies, procedures, safe working method standards and rules.

• Experience working in Transport, Warehousing, sea freight and/or rail operations is desirable.
• Industry experience within Transport is essential.
• Relevant experience in daily operations, especially freight and/or commodity-based transport solutions of multi-mode.
• Proven performance management and strong leadership experience.
• Highly experienced in building and maintaining Customer Relationships.
• Proven Continuous Improvement and problem-solving skills.
• Solid knowledge of the Metropolitan area is essential.
• High-level planning and organisational skills to ensure operational excellence.
• Superior software skills (Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook).
