Applications are invited for the full-time ongoing position of Electorate Officer B within the Hon Michael McCormack’s office based in Wagga Wagga, NSW.

*Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: *
* Write content for regular e-newsletters
* Create engaging videos and other content for social media
* Write articles for local newspapers
* Write speeches for local community events
* Media monitoring
* Drafting local media releases
* Liaising and engaging with local media, community groups and businesses to identify stories and concerns
* Manage website
* Other duties as directed by the Member

*Applicants should possess the following skills and experience: *
* An understanding of Australia’s system of government and parliamentary processes
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
* Well-developed office IT skills and understanding of social media platforms
* Good organisational ability
* Ability to work as part of a team

This position will include additional hours and travel as required.

*Employment conditions: *

The position is offered under the _Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984_ and conditions are outlined in the _Commonwealth_ _Members of Parliament Staff Enterprise Agreement 2020-2023_.
* A commencing salary between $69,170 and $80,757 per annum will be negotiated with the successful applicant commensurate with relevant skills and experience.
* An employer superannuation contribution of 15.4% will be payable.

A probationary period of three months will apply and may be subject to extension.

A National Police History Check may be required.
