Be responsible to an Electrical Engineer for the technical integrity of assigned projects;
Be responsible to the Project Manager(s) for the delivery of assigned projects in accordance with own estimates (budget and schedule);
Draft and review electrical engineering client deliverables as well as policies, procedures and internal standards;
Work collaboratively with other technical and non-technical departments in support of business objectives; and
Identify risks, impacts, mitigations and opportunities for improvement.

The ideal candidate brings:

Required:
Graduated from a recognized institution with an electrical engineering degree and has Engineer In Training (EIT) status with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (BC), or is in the process of obtaining it;
Engineering experience (2+ years) in the naval, marine or related industry;
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written);
Ability to obtain security clearance and meet export control regulations: NATO SECRET, Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) positively security assessed and ITAR positively assessed; and,
Proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, meaning that you must have received the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by the Government of Canada with the final dose at least 14 days prior to your start date.
Preferences:
Knowledge of marine electrical installation engineering (for example, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) aspects such as cable separation and shielding, cable selection and routing, equipment siting and mounting, protective device selection, non-metallic material safety, grounding and bonding).
Experience working in a shipyard and knowledge of shipyard safe work practices.
Software (Python, VBA), database (Access and SQL) and Sharepoint site management experience.
ETAP experience (specifically AC and DC load flow).
