About the role
As a Risk Specialist, you will play a key role in providing outcome-focused risks and controls assessments that influence technology risks oversight over projects and portfolios. Your responsibilities include:
Ensuring strategic objectives are implemented, risks managed, and benefits realized.
Advising projects and programs on identifying, monitoring, measuring, and managing risks.
Providing independent oversight and challenging the effectiveness of risks and controls during project pre- and post-implementation.
Key capabilities and skills
Risks and Controls Management within the technology space
Technology insight (Infrastructure, Data, Cloud, Service Management)
Project Lifecycle Management
Stakeholder engagement
Additional beneficial skills: Data Analytics and Reporting tools, Technology audit and assurance, Coaching and leadership
Your profile
Minimum 5 years of experience in Risk, Compliance, Assurance, and Regulatory areas
Preferred experience in consulting, ideally with a Big4 or similar firm
Good understanding of Technology Risk and Compliance frameworks
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Certifications like CISA, CRISC, PRINCE2/Agile are preferred
Location
Can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane
