GHD Tasmania's Transport team is looking for an experienced Transport Planner in a leadership role to join their team. Ideally located in Tasmania (Hobart, Launceston, or Burnie), the position could also be based in any Australian GHD offices. You will be the lead in the delivery of transport planning projects from proposal phase through to project completion ensuring that deliverables meet client satisfaction and are in-line with our quality management procedures and processes, You will work on various transport projects within Tasmania with the opportunity to work closely with other teams from the wider Australian Transport group.You will have the opportunity to work on large scale and complex projects, whilst being empowered to deliver challenging environment solutions that go above and beyond the business-as-usual. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to provide leadership of projects and teams. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Provide technical direction, client management and delivery of Transport Planning projects across Tasmania and wider GHD business Be responsible for major project opportunity identification and conversion of key pursuits to projects Build on your existing industry connections and experience to win and deliver project work Provide technical leadership to the wider team, to motivate and inspire junior team members Lead and/or assist in undertaking proposal development Building effective, trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders What would you bring to the team? Degree qualified in Planning or Engineering (Civil) with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in transport planning and/or traffic engineering Pursue technical excellence in the delivery of traffic engineering and transport planning projects for GHD Outstanding written and oral communication skills, ability to adapt to a variety of audiences, with superior report writing capability Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build trust based, value adding relationships with people across all levels of business Drive, passion and capabilities for targeting and winning work Interested?
