Due to ongoing growth, we currently have an excellent opportunity for a Tax Manager to join the team.

The Role:

Integral to the role will be the provision of seamless taxation advisory and compliance services to a range of clients across a broad range of sectors. Proven experience providing Australian tax advice and solutions for a private and public corporate client base is required. This experience should have been acquired in a specialist corporate tax division or a business services team with a very strong focus on tax within a reputable chartered firm. Experience across the spectrum of income tax, GST, employment and state taxes would be ideal but not essential.

The role will entail a 50% advisory focus with a 50% compliance focus, giving you the ability to provide sound advice and build strong client relationships. Experience with listed companies and tax due diligence and tax structuring/M&A advice would be an advantage.

We are looking for a CA qualified accountant. A Masters of Tax (either completed or in progress) is not essential; however, it would help. Ideally, we seek someone with strong tax advisory skills and experience in writing detailed advice for clients. Your success in this role will come from your ability to conduct independent research and decipher legislation and other relevant material.

Experience with reviewing/managing a portfolio of clients for tax compliance services, including tax provision review, annual income tax returns, and FBT compliance would be preferred. Leadership is a key component to your makeup, bringing a team along with you and having the ability to train and manage them into a fine working unit will stand you apart.

You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to proactively build and develop client relationships and to build effective teams.
