Stablehand/Ground Staff Needed Our staff are an integral part of Jason Warren Racing Stables based out of Mornington. Looking for experienced stablehands/ground staff to join our team.
Stablehands perform general stable duties to prepare horses in the morning for track work.
Swimming, tacking, washing and feeding horses is part of the morning routine.
In the afternoon, horses are walked, rugged and fed.
Our work hours are very reasonable, starting at 6 AM and running until around midday, six days a week.
On Sundays, we start later at 7 AM, and the best part? Sunday shifts are paid at double time! We offer both full-time and part-time positions with flexible scheduling.
We’re also looking for team members available for afternoon shifts, typically from 3 PM to around 5 PM.
Preferred applicants will currently be licensed as stablehands with Racing Victoria.
However, we welcome inexperienced candidates and will provide relevant training, including the mandatory Handle Horses and Follow OHS Procedures training units.
