The role
The Project Manager role directly reports to the local Advan TEC Manager. In respect to the delivery of each project, they may be allocated by the Modernization Manager, National Controls Manager, or Advan TEC Manager.
As the Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the project delivery using planning, monitoring, and controlling processes. You will be responsible for coordination and follow-through to completion of all aspects of the project and to this end, will perform a variety of tasks including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing the progress of the project. The customer base will be internal and external consisting of mechanical, digital controls, and building services.
Key responsibilities
Provide direction to contractors, including motivating people to perform, listening to people, providing feedback, recognizing strengths, and providing challenges.
Lead or collaborate with the wider business on opportunities for minor (S&I) and major projects (retrofits, controls, and innovative projects) from both existing client base and new market leads.
Responsible for planning the works in order to accomplish goals or produce the products required within constraints such as time, cost, and agreed quality standards.
Articulate and negotiate consensus on a final vision of the product project goals from scoping the requirements of all stakeholders, not forgetting the end-user.
Prepare, perform, maintain, and review many types of duties as a project manager including documents, EH&S control of site, specifications, contracts, schedules, personnel records, project reports, communication (email) records, design specifications, system drawings, sequence of works, commissioning, markups, meeting agendas, minutes, and status reports.
Requirements :
Substantial experience in HVAC field or an affiliated mechanical services industry.
Previously managed technical teams and projects in HVAC or similar field.
Ability to develop, implement and manage budgets.
Chair team meetings and facilitate review deliverables.
Develop sales and margin improvement strategies.
Strong customer relationship skills.
Understand urgency with customers.
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
