As a Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with our Head Chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences, lead the kitchen team, and contribute to menu innovations that set us apart.
What you’ll be doing Reporting to the Head Chef, you’ll play a vital role in kitchen operations, ensuring high culinary standards and seamless service.
Your day-to-day will include: Kitchen Operations Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.
Prepare and cook dishes following recipes and quality standards.
Oversee food safety compliance, including hygiene, storage, and handling practices.
Maintain stock levels and assist with inventory management and ordering supplies.
Team Leadership Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff to build a high-performing team.
Foster a positive and collaborative working environment in the kitchen.
Menu Innovation Contribute to menu planning and development, bringing fresh and creative ideas to the table.
Equipment and Safety Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition.
Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards.
What you’ll bring We’re looking for someone with: Experience: At least 2 years of professional kitchen experience (club experience is a bonus).
Qualifications: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
Skills: Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety practices.
Leadership Abilities: The ability to guide and inspire a team with confidence.
Organisation: Exceptional time management and multitasking skills.
Flexibility: Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Passion: A love for cooking and a commitment to delivering outstanding food.
