The Opportunity You will have the opportunity to gain extensive exposure to cloud transformation initiatives, where you’ll lead the integration of legacy systems with modern cloud architectures. Through collaboration within a skilled cyber security team, you can boost your skills and professional development while playing a central role in high-impact projects. The Role The successful applicant will work in a cross-disciplinary team on both externally and internally facing applications. The role includes (but is not limited to) analysing, defining, designing, and documenting high-level and detailed designs in close collaboration with business stakeholders and the Department’s corporate IT areas. The Ideal Person To be successful in the role, you need to have a minimum of 8+ years of recent experience in a Solution Architect role, preferably within a federal government department. Demonstrated stakeholder engagement, relationship management, and influencing skills, with a track record of dealing with different stakeholder groups. Experience with the design and implementation of cloud-compliant solutions on enterprise technologies such as Microsoft. Ability to build productive relationships and work with stakeholders including enterprise architecture groups and cyber security teams to secure design approval. Demonstrated experience applying information security concepts and best practices including the Information Security Manual (ISM). Demonstrated experience in high performance computing, geospatial, or large-scale scientific data processing. While not essential, it is highly desired if you have: Relevant certifications such as Azure Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar. Experience with Data Solutions, Dev Ops, CI/CD, Integration solutions, and API/Services Oriented Architecture. Experience with emerging technologies, including AI. Salary / Rate An hourly rate of $140/hr - $165/hr including super or negotiable.12 months contract with 2x 6 months extension options.
