The Company: Our client is an award-winning and highly established medium-density townhouse home building company and due to continued growth are now looking to hire another experienced home building construction site manager to join their busy construction team in Melbourne's busy north-western suburbs. Suburbs include: Melton/Deanside Training and Development provided for candidates looking to progress from the volume/custom home building space into the busy medium-density townhouse building sector. Key Responsibilities of the Role: Manage a number of new townhouse builds in construction concurrently. Up to on average 12-15 townhouses in construction at any one time on average across 1-2 sites Single storey and double storey new builds Allocate materials and trades to job sites. Ensure timely construction of new homes within budget Effectively communicate with clients, trades and management in a professional manner. Construction of new homes are carried out safely and comply with company processes and procedures. Inspecting completed projects to ensure a high standard of quality Maintaining and updating company systems Reporting to management regarding onsite activity Negotiating with subcontractors and coordinating onsite works Identifying and resolving problems throughout the construction process. Role Requirements: At least 1-2 years experience as a Construction Site Supervisor within the volume home building industry. Tertiary qualifications within building and construction Trade background will be highly advantageous Demonstrated experience within the construction sector with excellent building knowledge Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment and ability to meet deadlines. Excellent attention to detail Strong communication skills both written and verbal Ability to build a strong rapport with clients, subcontractors and suppliers. Proven track record of problem-solving Team player Excellent IT skills and computer literacy with construction-specific software packages.
