About the role Reporting to the Metallurgical Superintendent, you will drive metallurgical functions to deliver safe, high-quality, and environmentally responsible outcomes, optimizing gold and copper production while maintaining cost efficiency. Key responsibilities include: Developing, communicating, and implementing the weekly ore treatment plan. Leading and mentoring the development of the metallurgical team. Completing metallurgical accounting and reporting in a timely manner. Monitoring and ensuring key plant operating parameters achieve or exceed target. Providing technical support to the processing team to assist in achieving the annual production budget. Liaising and cooperating with maintenance and processing personnel to ensure optimum performance of the plant. Continuously seeking opportunities for improvement in safe production practices, ore processing capability, metal recoveries, maintenance practices, and cost of production. About You The ideal candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in Extractive Metallurgy, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline, with at least experience as a Process Metallurgist and experience in a supervisory role within the mining industry. You will have demonstrable expertise in ore processing operations, a solid understanding of mining and maintenance operations, and strong financial and business acumen. Meticulous attention to detail, superior numerical and analytical abilities, and experience with emerging technologies are essential. The ideal candidate should have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage performance.
