Senior Financial Accountant / Finance Manager – Northern Gold Coast

Location: BIGGERA WATERS, QLD. Job Type: Permanent, Full time.

Job Summary

In a boutique law firm, you will lead the internal finance function, ensuring smooth financial operations. The role combines management reporting, technical accounting, process improvement, and coaching a part‐time accounts clerk.

Responsibilities

Reporting: Prepare monthly management packs including P& L, balance sheets, and cashflow with KPI commentary.
Trust Accounting: Manage trust account receipting and payments while maintaining compliance with legal profession standards.
Reconciliations: Oversee daily and monthly trust and office account reconciliations.
Compliance: Assist with trust account audits (QLS requirements) and BAS preparation.
Operations: Handle budgeting, multi‐entity reporting, payroll (STP/PAYG), and debtor management.
Coaching: Mentor a part‐time accounts clerk.

Qualifications

CPA, CA, or a Bachelor of Accounting (required).
Solid understanding of trust accounting requirements.
Experience with Xero.

About You
Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Salary: $95k to $110k, depending on proven qualifications and experience.
