They are looking to appoint a Head of Procurement role reporting to the CFO and crucial in ensuring high competent, innovative and solution focused procurement strategies and execution while continuing the high levels of integrity expected by a Government Agency procurement function. Leading a team of 20FTE’s this role will manage a relatively new Procurement function that sits inhouse so it can specialise and provide services to a range of stakeholders. The procurement team source and manage the acquisition of a wide variety of specialised equipment locally and internationally including a significant fleet modified with specialist equipment. This role will work with key stakeholders, suppliers and team to ensure a solution focused procurement function offering high levels of service while ensuring the integrity of procurement function. This role will suit a professional with a procurement background likely familiar with government and or related agencies. You will be a solution focused leader with strong values around service, problem solving and innovation. Experience in fleet procurement will be highly attractive however the key focus of the role is to build systems and a team that are focused on finding solutions to complex procurement challenges, who will work collaboratively with stakeholders and are focused on creating the best outcomes for the agency and ultimately Queenslanders.
