4 Healthcare Recruitment are working with a leading secondary school in Melbourne. This school setting caters to primary and secondary school aged children, and has a focus on pupil wellbeing, alongside educational excellence. The opportunity:
An opportunity exists for a psychologist to join their student services team, in a full time capacity in the 'School Psychologist' role.
This role is a great opportunity for an experienced psychologist looking for an opportunity to utilise their assesment skills. You will join a MDT, and will use your experience as a psychologist to guide and support the wellbeing of your student cohort. You will work alongside other allied health clinicians, education staff, and the school leadership team in your daily role.
- FT or PT (Time fraction negotiatble), working 8.30pm-4.30pm
- Extended school holidays negotiable
- Working with primary and secondary school aged children, on campus - counselling, assessment, intervention, working with school staff
- ASSESSMENTS focus: 70% assessments 30% counselling and intervention
You:
You will be a fully registered psychologist with 2+ year experience in your field. Ideally you will have had experience working within a school setting as a counsellor or psychologist - though this is preferred and not essential. You will be a team player, and an expert in best psychological practises for adolescents within your care.
- Relevant tertiary qualification, and full AHPRA registration
- 2+ years working in a psychology role
- Working with children's check (or willingness to obtain)
- Educational and development endorsement preferred but not essential
- Experience working with young people very advantageous
