Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Plan, organize, and oversee daily retail operations to achieve sales targets, profitability, and high customer service standards
• Research global and regional fashion trends, including Indian and Punjabi styles, to guide product selection and seasonal planning
• Coordinate with designers and suppliers to source culturally appropriate garments, fabrics, and embellishments
• Manage inventory levels, ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships to ensure timely availability of collections
• Oversee product development processes, including reviewing samples, quality standards, and production timelines
• Ensure store presentation, visual merchandising, and displays reflect cultural authenticity and current fashion trends
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate retail staff to ensure effective performance and product knowledge
• Develop and implement pricing, promotional, and marketing strategies in collaboration with marketing teams
• Monitor financial performance, prepare budgets, control costs, and analyse sales and trend data
• Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally, maintaining high service standards
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and company policies
• Prepare operational, sales, staffing, and performance reports for senior management
• Maintain awareness of sustainable practices within fashion retail and traditional attire production
Skills & Experience Required
• Relevant qualification in Fashion Design, Retail Management, Business, or a related field
• Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role within the fashion industry
• Strong creative capability with a refined eye for style, detail, and cultural aesthetics
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software, including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD systems
• Sound knowledge of fabrics, materials, garment construction, and fitting processes
• Ability to research, analyze, and forecast fashion trends and consumer preferences
• Demonstrated capability to manage projects from concept development through to final delivery
• Strong leadership, organisational, and team management skills
• Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and drive commercial performance
• Comprehensive understanding of inventory control, merchandising, and stock management practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer-focused approach
• Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of fashion industry standards, target markets, and sustainable practices
