Partnering with a technical project manager, you’ll focus on fostering strong relationships across our organisation, streamlining processes, and ensuring governance excellence within Western Power. This opportunity is a permanent full-time position. Your Role in Action Lead the delivery of a highly complex and critical payroll implementation project, ensuring it meets scope, timeline, and budget expectations without compromising on quality, including the effective management of contractors and suppliers. Drive a seamless transition of the project to business-as-usual operations, minimizing disruptions and ensuring effective change management to maximize the realization of project benefits. Oversee project financials with precision, maintaining, forecasting, and reporting Capex and Opex details with clarity and accuracy. Provide proactive, consistent updates on project status to key stakeholders and the Program Manager, while coordinating and guiding the project team through detailed resource plans and up-to-date schedules. Identify, assess, and actively manage project assumptions, risks, issues, and dependencies, developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies to ensure smooth delivery. Enforce robust project and quality assurance controls, conducting thorough gate checks to mitigate risks to delivery, cost, and quality outcomes. Conduct thorough stakeholder analysis, developing and executing tailored stakeholder management plans to build strong engagement and alignment. Foster and support high-performing project teams across diverse business functions, aligning efforts to achieve project and program goals. What Makes You a Great Fit Broad and extensive knowledge as a Project Manager with demonstrated experience in IT and payroll implementation. Working knowledge of contemporary, industry standard project management methodology such as PMBo K or Prince2. A successful record of delivering complex, large value, high risk projects within a constrained timeframe. Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to communicate with audiences of all levels. Detailed working knowledge of Project Management methods, tools and systems. Sound understanding of resource planning across multiple projects and teams. High level of business acumen including strategic planning, finance and leadership skills.
