Who we need
We are seeking a talented Project Manager to join our Australia team.
Project management is a process for coordinating all activities to deliver a defined goal/task to finish on time, on budget and within scope. The role creates order and predictability when handling complex and variable requirements, to organize communications and behaviours to maximize timeline efficiency and improve profit margins.
Key Results/Accountabilities
Oversee all aspects of projects rollout (from development to delivery) by setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, coordinating all related stakeholders, designing process, monitoring progress of project, managing risks and alternatives, to ensure the completion of projects within timeframe and budget
Supports Business Unit (BU) Leader(s) and Account Team Managers (ATMs) on projects to monitor the delivery of projects On Time To Production (OTTP)
Drives efficiency within the Business Unit by supporting the Agile Approach
Detailed project tasks,
Attend brief meeting
Coordinate quotation with Cost estimating team and/or suppliers
Coordinate development drawing with the Engineering team and/or suppliers
Coordinate prototype (when needed) with the Engineering team and/or suppliers
Develop detail timeline for the project from development to delivery
Assign task to owners
Follow up on task owners to ensure timely completion
Hold weekly project review meeting to review project progress
Look for ways to improve on schedule and cost when issue arises
Maintain clear tracking of project budget throughout the project development phase.
Coordinate quality requirement and quality inspection and result with the Quality Management team
Coordinate shipment with the Logistic team.
If applicable, communicates between Brand BUs and Retailer BUs to ensure retailer standards are maintained
Hold accountable those who must deliver and prevent silos from forming by spending time and effort to nurture team collaboration
Must seek to clearly establish project priority with management when a conflict occurs to allocate resources, to define and set realistic alternatives and project expectations when a resource fails to deliver as expected
Able to anticipate execution challenges and counteract these challenges in early stage
Escalate to manager/management when there is risk (cost, budget, schedule, quality) to the project
Regular project update to management
Key challenges in the role involve protecting the approved project plan, budget and scope for not exceeding budget demands and scope creep; be ready for sudden resource constraints and always have alternative solutions; spend sufficient time and effort in project initiation and planning, go into details for all tasks and steps in early phases; driving each member of the project team to deliver on their task timely and correctly.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
Education and Experience
8 years’ Merchandising and project development experience for brands and or retailers preferably in POS display, VM, fixture, GC industry.
Less experience may consider as junior position
Degree in related discipline or equivalent experience
Extensive experience in charge of project management and to execute project within agreed time frame and cost budgets and to ensure that targeted results are achieved to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills to negotiate with the stakeholders as well convey the objectives with all the team members. The incumbent is the key link between the organization and the people involved in the projects. Openness and directness in the communication style of the project manager will establish transparency which is critical in eliminating ambiguity in the minds of people involved.
Technical abilities to liaise with clients and suppliers.
Demonstrate strong verbal, written, analytical skill, critical thinking, influence skill
Demonstrate a strong drive for result. A can-do attitude
Working knowledge of PM related tools software; Spreadsheet and Database Software.
Experience with MS Office Software (Excel, PPT, Word, Outlook).
Demonstrate good discipline in holding project review, timeline and budget
Excellent command of written and spoken English, knowing Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus
