If so, Alcoa's Huntly Mining Operations in Perth’s’ Southwest Dwellingup region offers a unique and impactful opportunity as our Production Manager - Mining. Reporting directly to the Huntly Mine Manager, you will provide critical strategic leadership in all aspects of production execution. You will be accountable for developing and directing programs that maximise equipment utilisation, enhance cost-effectiveness, and ultimately drive superior production performance and achieve outstanding results. Key responsibilities include: Set and achieve production goals, oversee all mining activities, ensure inter-departmental collaboration, and contribute to strategic planning. Promote a zero-injury safety culturethrough leadership, ensure safe work environments, and control environmental impact per regulations. Drive productivity improvements, set cost and quality standards, monitor performance, and implement process changes for efficiency. Develop leadership skillsthrough coaching and training, foster positive employee relations, and manage industrial relations. Build and maintain relationshipswith the workforce, internal and external stakeholders. Develop and deliver the business plan, make tactical decisions on operations, and lead equipment selection. Senior leadership experiencein bauxite or metalliferous mining environments. Strong technical knowledgeof mining practices; proven track record in production improvements and strategic objectives. Ability to lead and influencestakeholders at all levels and build a high performing, agile team. Strategic and forward-thinkingwith experience in short-term and long-term planning with an interest in emerging technologies. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills; commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and established business processes. Established in 1976 and located east of North Dandalup in WA, it is the world’s second largest bauxite mine, supplying ore to Alcoa’s Pinjarra alumina refinery. Bauxite ore from Alcoa’s Huntly and Willowdale mines helps to produce almost half of Australia’s alumina and approximately 19 per cent of Australia’s aluminium.
