The Principal Consultant will act as the technical lead on projects, overseeing several Technical/Delivery Consultants on larger engagements. The Principal Consultant will also be responsible for assisting with the development of Intellectual Property (IP) in their expertise areas. What type of work will you be doing in your new role?Researching and evaluating client systems and architecture; drawing conclusions; and developing recommendations in accordance with engagement objectives. Discussing project scope and budget with the customer and directing the project scope to be implemented on time and budget without sacrificing quality. Acting as a team lead on large engagements taking ownership of the project outcome and quality. Identifying and resolving project issues with our clients. Writing proposal components or letters of understanding, as needed, and responding to RFPs and other marketing situations. Working with internal teammates to define service opportunities, and develop standards of delivery, templates, and standard work products to meet internal and external delivery expectations. Leading identification of business and technical requirements. Implementing technologies and solutions based on designs. Planning own and team’s work to meet given objectives and processes. Demonstrating analytical and systematic approach to problem solving and mentoring team members to follow this or their approach. Assisting with the coaching and mentoring of teammates. What capabilities you will demonstrate in your new role!Consultative approach: Liaise to C-level executive, including frequent presales and demonstrations. Showcase your technical experience within a Services environment. Map your client’s business needs to Insight’s technology solution offerings. Develop strong client relationships. Lead your team of Delivery Consultant team members. Production of high-quality technical artefacts and presales contributions (proposals and presentations). Use your analytical skills to partner with a client to understand requirements, define and present appropriate solution, and oversee delivery of a solution. Present and communicate technical solutions. A team player willing to develop and share IP within the organisation. Showcase your strong analysis, architecture, design and implementation skills. Technical expertise you will utilise in your new role: Significant expertise designing and delivering solutions using multiple Microsoft Azure data platform services (e.g. Synapse, Databricks, Data Factory, Logic Apps, Analysis Services). Designing and delivering Io T solutions using Microsoft technologies (e.g. Stream Analytics, Io T Hub etc.). Advanced analytics/ML platforms (e.g. SPARK, Azure Machine Learning, R Server etc.). Power BI. TOGAF certification would be advantageous in this role.
