About the role - PHYSIOTHERAPISTLooking to be part of a visionary, dynamic and supportive team seeking to make a significant difference in the lives of older people?HammondCare is forming an exciting new internal Allied Health Care Team to work in Residential Care. Whilst having the autonomy to work with residents to achieve the best care outcomes, you will also be part of a broader team of in-house Allied Health professionals working alongside and supporting frontline teams.Together you will deliver resident-centred, evidence-based care in an environment that promotes continuous quality improvement consistent with the values and ethics of HammondCare and the Australian Physiotherapy Association.Essence of the role Provision of timely, effective and high-quality physiotherapy service and advice to residents and staff in residential careCollaborate closely with residents, their representatives, staff and the broader Allied Health Team to assess functional care needs, set care goals, and provide treatment and interventions to deliver the best possible outcomes for residentsParticipate as a member of the HammondCare team in the application of the Mission and values to the pursuit of its objectives in a person-centred, continuous quality improvement work environmentParticipate in quality improvement projects and continuing professional development. About you Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in ActionA tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy including current AHPRA registrationPractical experience or sound knowledge in Aged CareA current driver’s license, safe driving record and access to your own car, with a willingness to travel between HammondCare’s sites and servicesEffective communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)Demonstrated organisation and time management skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team About HammondCareHammondCare is an independent Christian charity that has been serving families in Australia since 1932.
