How You Can Make a Difference
The Heart Foundation is on the lookout for a Philanthropy Coordinator to support our growing Philanthropy program. This role is perfect for someone who’s organised, people‑focused, and excited about working for purpose and making a real impact.
We’re entering an exciting phase of philanthropic growth at The Heart Foundation, expanding major gifts, Trusts & Foundations funding, and strategic donor partnerships, and are seeking a highly organised, research-driven and relationship-minded Philanthropy Coordinator to strengthen our national philanthropy function.
This pivotal role supports major donor growth through intelligent prospect research, CRM excellence, and coordinated donor communication, events and engagement. You will have the opportunity to work flexibly, blending your time between home and our Bourke St office.
If you love turning insight into opportunity, and systems into seamless donor experiences, we’d love to hear from you.
About the Role

Identifying and profiling new major donor prospects
Managing and optimising CRM data integrity and reporting
Coordinating donor communications, events and stewardship timelines

Ensuing opportunities move efficiently through the pipeline
Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy and national specialists you will deliver proactive, personalised donor engagement.
What You'll Be Doing
You’ll play a key role in keeping our philanthropy program running smoothly and thoughtfully, including:
Coordinating warm, timely and personalised donor communications and stewardship
Helping plan and deliver engaging donor events (the feel good kind!)
Preparing impact reports and prospectus materials that clearly show the difference donors make
Working closely with internal teams to bring donor stories, research and health programs together
Keeping our CRM tidy, up to date, and working hard behind the scenes
Spotting new opportunities in donor data to help relationships grow
What You’ll Bring
2+ years’ experience in fundraising, donor relations or similar
Strong prospect research capability
Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge or similar)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisation and attention to detail
Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and high-net-worth individuals
Ability to analyse donor data and identify growth opportunities
Most importantly, you care about impact and enjoy helping supporters feel connected to a cause that saves lives.
You Are
Detail-oriented and highly organised
Thrive in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment
Curious and analytical
Proactive and solutions-focused
Calm under pressure
