Unique opportunity to join our team in a dynamic and everchanging role looking after Mount Field and the Southwest World Heritage areas. About the role

As Ranger in Charge, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the Mount Field, Field Centre.

Undertake administrative functions, including managing a budget, developing business plans, managing and deploying resources, and writing rosters.
Undertake field work, including remote fire operations, conducting site assessments, and track work.
Communicate, partner, and share local knowledge of the area to visitors, community groups, and stakeholders.
Supervise three direct reports and provide leadership and oversight to the broader field office staff.

Based at one of Tasmania's oldest National Parks and the gateway to Tasmania's jewel heritage reserve, the Western Arthurs, you'll enjoy working among a diverse landscape of cascading waterfalls, tall eucalypt forests, alpine vegetation, and glacial lakes. This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills, knowledge, and experience and play a pivotal role in the conservation and management of this spectacular location. About us

A Diploma in Conservation and Land Management or other qualifications deemed equivalent.
