We're seeking a highly motivated Senior System Engineer for a 6-month contract. You'll play a key role in assisting with the remediation and decommissioning of our legacy Active Directory environments.

What you'll do:

• Lead low to moderately complex projects, covering tasks such as estimation, design, installation, configuration, integration, and deployment of IT system components.
• Prioritize rapid, automated, and secure deployment of technical solutions.
• Own the seamless integration of platforms into their ecosystems, ensuring coverage across all layers of the stack, including hardware, networking, data flow, application handling, and integration points.
• Emphasize non-functional requirements like security, reliability, performance, scalability, maintainability, and usability, ensuring platforms align with service-level objectives and business needs.
• Advocate for and apply industry best practices, patterns, and critical application standards.
• Contribute to team and platform-wide strategic engineering initiatives.
• Take the lead in support and troubleshooting efforts for production systems.
• Drive ongoing improvements in both system functionality and team processes.

Technical Skills:

• Strong expertise in Active Directory, Azure Active Directory (AAD), and modern authentication and authorization protocols, paired with a solid grasp of general Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles and the Microsoft Identity ecosystem.
• Proficiency in scripting, particularly with Power Shell, with the ability to write scripts that streamline processes, resolve issues, and troubleshoot effectively.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code practices and deploying public cloud infrastructure is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with modern methods for building and deploying infrastructure.
