The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity for a Project Engineer ready to take the next step in their career, or an existing SPE who would like to grow their OHW career.
Key responsibilities:
- Review and plan the project with the Project Manager and ensure technical requirements of the project are clear and to become familiar with contractual/deed arrangements with the client.
- Provide a focal point for all technical based queries for associated sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Provide engineering advice for all sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Overview of the project (within disciplines) from an engineering viewpoint while maintaining an open approach to all problems.
- Attend meetings with clients as required.
- Manage relationships with design and engineering teams as required.
- Maintain and ensure compliance of all Work Packages and associated project specific procedures with the commissioning Manager.
- Provide written reports on engineering, productivity and cost activities as required by the Project Manager.
- Ensure positive interaction with Supervisors and Superintendents for all technical, engineering, schedule and other relevant queries.
- Work with Bid manager in the delivery of Tenders.
- Ensure contractors/suppliers are sourced, assessed, employed, managed and supervised in accordance with UGL's HSSE and procurement requirements.

- OHW experience in a Project Engineer capacity.
- Knowledge of Rail Safety National Law is a requirement for Rail Safety Workers.
- Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering (Civil/Mech./Elec.) at degree level.
- Experience in ensuring activities meet construction schedule, cost and quality requirements.
