What this opportunity involves:
Due to business growth, we are seeking a skilled and energetic procurement professional to join us as our Strategic Client Manager.
In this role, you will deliver procurement strategies and processes, project manage large procurement processes in collaboration with the JLL procurement team, deliver strategic and technical advice, and assist in the management of vendors.
This is a client-facing role and will report to the Head of Strategic Client Management. The role will be based in Melbourne CBD.
Snapshot of the roles:
- Manage procurement strategies and processes to achieve targets (savings / performance / diversity etc.), whilst improving quality and reducing risk
- Lead category strategies and frameworks and drive supplier performance management
- Conduct negotiations on complex supply arrangements
- Engage stakeholders throughout the procurement process to manage change and buy-in
- Project Manage deliverables and KPI's across multiple vendor relationships
- Liaise, communicate and consult with key internal and external stakeholders, including report writing and presentation of results and recommendations
- Regular consultation with the wider Procurement team in order to achieve timeframes for delivery.
Requirements:
- Tertiary education in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or equivalent
- Qualifications and professional memberships, such as Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent are considered an advantage
- 6+ years in procurement, consulting, or contract management
- Confident collaborative team player who adopts a hands-on approach to solving complex problems
- Ability to prioritise and juggle multiple tasks with competing deadlines
- Strong communication, analytical and presentation skills and have the capacity to anticipate client needs
