About the school
St Josephine Bakhita is a new Catholic primary school in the Five Farms estate in Clyde North and is situated 46 kilometres southeast of Melbourne's Central Business District on the lands of the Bunurong People.
The school is the thirty-ninth Catholic primary school in the Diocese of Sale and the second primary school in the Parish of St Thomas the Apostle.
Stage One of the school opened in January this year with an initial enrolment of 121 students. The long-term enrolment projection (over 7 years) for St Josephine's is 700 students. Construction for Stage Two has recently begun and will be completed in late 2026.
St Josephine Bakhita Catholic Primary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Education Support Officer to join the team of this exciting new school. The position is 5 days a week, working with children in Foundation/Year One in small groups and a 1:1 capacity.
The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children. They will:
demonstrate a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children
develop and maintain professional and caring relationships
demonstrate a commitment to the ethos of the Catholic church and school
display strong interpersonal and communication skills
effectively work as part of a professional educative team
differentiate support practices according to student needs
actively involve themselves in personal learning
hold an current Working With Children Check and be willing to complete a National Police Record Check
Certificate III or IV in Education Support or work in schools is an advantage
All positions are classified under the Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited Schools and Secretariat Agreement 2022. The role is classified as a Level 2 ESO. Application Procedure
