APS 4 Recruitment Officer - Government Opportunity
Contract: 4-6 months (Labour Hire)
Location: Bruce, Canberra (WFH up to 2 days/week)
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hrs/week)
Start Date: 24th March 2024
End Date: 30th September 2025 (No extension)
Hourly Rate: TBC

- Australian Citizen
- Baseline Security Clearance (must be maintained)
- National Police Check (prior to commencement)
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) check (can start with proof of application)
About the Role:
This position supports a high-profile government recruitment team during a transitional period. As an APS 4 Recruitment Officer, you'll play a key role in refining recruitment processes, mentoring junior staff, and liaising with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• End-to-end recruitment coordination, with a focus on high-volume and complex roles
• Developing and improving recruitment processes, templates, and documentation
• Reviewing and updating internal recruitment policies and intranet pages
• Representing the team in strategic discussions with senior HR stakeholders
• Leading process improvements and identifying efficiencies in recruitment workflows
• Mentoring APS 3 staff to ensure team objectives are met
Ideal Candidate:
• Strong APS recruitment experience (essential)
• Expertise in Hire Road (e Recruitment) or similar systems (essential)
• Proven ability to manage complex recruitment independently
• Process improvement and strategic workforce planning experience
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage senior stakeholders
