The Role
We are seeking a Team Leader – Urban Engineering, Urban Development (design engineer or project engineer), with proven experience of managing teams and delivering on urban/land development projects across the industry. This role will be based out of our Brisbane office.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10+ years’ experience in civil design or project management. You will provide support to lead and help manage team capability in the region and source business opportunities to support the ongoing activities of a leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and leadership guidance across the team's portfolio.
- Provide input to projects at a project management and/or review level to achieve reliable project performance in terms of both timeliness and quality.
- Effective management and leadership of the team to ensure optimal performance, resourcing, retention, and professional development.
- Growth of the team through targeted client relationship management and business development activity.
- Provide input to the group business plan and implement the team's components of the plan.
About You
- Tertiary degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- 10+ years’ relevant urban/land development design and/or project management experience.
- Experience in the co-ordination, design, and delivery of urban based projects within multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy.
- Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to train junior employees.
- Sound aptitude to prepare technical reports and prepare proposals for a range of projects.
- A track record of achievement in a similar role and a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
