SULO, part of the Pact Group since 2014, operates one of the largest plastic injection moulding plants in Australasia at Somersby, on the Central Coast of NSW. Utilising the latest technology, we have developed one of the most automated Mobile Garbage Bin (MGB) manufacturing facilities in the world and made from up to 100% locally sourced recycled material, our mobile garbage bins are among the most sustainably sourced in the world. SULO is seeking a Moulding Technician to join the Production team at our highly automated manufacturing plant at Somersby, on the Central Coast of NSW. This role is on a 6 on, 4 off rotating shift pattern including night shifts and weekends to cover 24 x7 operations. This role is required to set up, operate and troubleshoot injection moulding machines and ancillary equipment to mould and finish any manufactured articles including mobile garbage bins (MGBs), bodies, lids, and other parts according to the product specification. Your key responsibilities will be to: Setup injection moulding machines and ancillary equipment such as cutters, lasers, handlings, conveyors, hot stampers, labelling equipment and material handling. Adjust machine parameters or cycle times of injection moulding machines and customising machines to maximise outputs and to correct or improve mouldings. Delivers finished goods into the warehouse department and report finished goods in the MRP systems. Perform maintenance according to the procedures, attend to any alarms or breakdowns and make repairs to production equipment within your technical capability. Maintains time and production records such as shift reports, logbooks, finish goods reports, and maintenance and part inspection sheets. Maintains a safe, clean and tidy working environment according to the standards Your skills and experience:2+ years of experience in a similar position. Prior experience with injection moulding and automation within a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Understanding of legislative safety requirements Qualifications Year 10 and/or Certificate III or equivalent experience. Forklift licence and first aid certificate. A dogging and electrical reconnect/disconnect license is an advantage.
