Our client Fox Mobile Mechanic is looking for an experienced and passionate motor mechanic to join their team.
About the Role
As a Motor Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring vehicles operate at their best. This hands-on position involves inspecting, servicing, and repairing a variety of motor vehicles using the latest diagnostic technology and tools, all while upholding workplace health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Diagnose vehicle and engine faults using diagnostic equipment and manual inspections.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and checking fluids etc.
• Repair and replace faulty or worn parts such as transmissions, engines, and electrical components.
• Dismantling and reassembling engine parts after repairs/ servicing.
• Test vehicles and components to ensure repairs have been successful.
• Accurately document all work carried out and parts used.
• Advise customers regarding their vehicle’s condition, necessary repairs, and maintenance programs.
• Perform all duties in line with Australian standards and workplace health and safety regulations.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
• Certificate III and IV in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification is required.
• Minimum of three years full time work experience as a Motor Mechanic
• Comprehensive knowledge of automotive systems, components, and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Physical fitness and manual dexterity are necessary for handling tools and vehicle parts.
