Position: Motor Mechanic
Salary: $75,000 to $90,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Motor Mechanic to join our workshop team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about vehicle performance, precision diagnostics, and delivering quality service on every job — from routine maintenance to complex mechanical repairs.
The candidate in mind will be expected to perform the following duties that include but are not limited to:
• Conduct detailed inspections to identify mechanical and electrical faults in engines, transmissions, steering systems, and related components.
• Strip down and assess engine assemblies, gearboxes, and other major parts for wear and damage.
• Repair, rebuild, or replace worn and defective components, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications.
• Perform scheduled services, including oil changes, lubrication, tune‑ups, and multi‑point safety checks.
• Use diagnostic tools (including computer‑assisted testing) to pinpoint issues and validate repairs.
• Reassemble repaired parts and test systems to verify performance before client vehicle handover.
• Support vehicle inspections and provide detailed roadworthiness feedback, including what work may be needed.
• Assist with breakdown service call‑outs where needed to help customers in the field.
Qualifications:
• Certificate III or IV in Automotive (preferred but not required)
• Diploma in Automotive with on-the-job experience (preferred but not required)
Other Skills and Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Motor Mechanic or in a similar role.
• Qualified motor mechanic with experience in mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis.
• Proficient with diagnostic equipment and modern workshop tools.
• Able to read and interpret service manuals and technical documentation.
• Strong communicator with a client‑service mindset.
