Position Overview
Sanctuary Resort is seeking an experienced Hotel Motel Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the resort and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The role is responsible for managing accommodation services, supervising staff and facilities, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the financial and operational performance of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee reservations, front desk operations, room servicing coordination, and housekeeping schedules to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Supervise property safety and presentation, including the coordination of security arrangements and the maintenance of gardens and facilities, to create a welcoming and safe environment for guests.
• Plan and supervise restaurant and bar services, in-house dining functions, and conference or event activities to maintain high standards of service and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all liquor, health and safety regulations, and relevant laws that apply to resort operations.
• Review guest feedback, monitor customer satisfaction, and implement service improvements to continually enhance the guest experience.
• Oversee accounting activities, purchasing, and cost controls, ensuring effective financial management and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards across all departments and promote a culture of safety among staff and guests.
• Provide guests with local tourism information and coordinate tours or transportation options to enhance their stay in Coffs Harbour.
Qualifications:
• Diploma in Hospitality Management
Skills and Experience:
• Minimum 2 years experience in hotel, motel, or resort management, or a senior operational role in hospitality.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving capabilities to manage multiple aspects of resort operations.
• Understanding of accommodation management systems, guest services, food and beverage functions, and regulatory compliance.
