Job Description

Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working closely with Operations, the role is a 50/50 split between sustaining engineering and NPI:

• Sustaining engineering - running up to 10 small projects such as small factory changes, minor design updates, etc. - review quality issues and provide technical support
• NPI - larger mechanical projects - modification and enhancement projects to products
• Very project-driven and working with internal and external resources

The Successful Applicant

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering
• 5 years minimum experience in mechanical engineering either in manufacturing (medical devices or mining would be great) or product automation
• Project management experience
• Experience with creating engineering drawings/drafting (Solidworks preferred but can be Creo or Iventa)
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to be hands-on
• Lean/Six Sigma training/exposure will be highly regarded
