AMEK ENGINEERING Pty Ltd is seeking a HVAC Mechanical Engineer to join our busy team located in the Belmont area.
Qualification and experience:
· Bachelors degree in Engineering Tradesperson
· Qualifications suitable for membership of Engineers Australia
· At least one year of Mechanical Engineering experience in Australia
· Strong understanding of HVAC Systems & Designs
· HVAC qualifications (or country equivalent) are essential
Tasks & Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and implement HVAC systems for a variety of building types
· Produce technical drawings, schematics, and specifications for HVAC systems
· Oversee HVAC projects from concept through to installation and commissioning.
· Prepare and review technical reports, manuals, and compliance documentation
· Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC system performance issues
· Ensure all HVAC designs and installations comply with Australian standards
Core competencies
· Strong understanding of mechanical system principles, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics.
· Ability to perform detailed calculations, simulations, and system optimizations
· Proficient with HVAC design software (such as Auto CAD & Revit)
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients, stakeholders, and team members effectively.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
