Head of Human Resources and Internal Communications Requisition ID : 13506 Position Title Executive General Manager, People & Internal Communications Business Line / Entity ENGIE ANZ Department / Team Human Resources HR Vice President (AMEA Region) Matrixed reporting line to: CEO ENGIE ANZ (Country Manager and Managing Director Flexible Generation) (Note that the reporting line may be changed or delegated, as required by the business) Location Melbourne, Australia Purpose The Executive General Manager, People & Internal Communications plays a crucial role in driving the company's HR strategy and operations whilst ensuring its alignment with the overall ENGIE Group business objectives in the ANZ region. Reporting directly to the HR Vice President in the AMEA region with a matrixed reporting line to ENGIE ANZ CEO, the Executive General Manager, People & Internal Communications is a member of the country Executive Team, working closely with business leaders. This role leads and oversees all HR and internal communication functions, employee relations, policies, and programs, ensuring the organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent whilst anticipating complex issues and challenges to maximise opportunities for the business. Dimensions of the Role Level of Authority In line with the Delegations of Authority Direct Reports 1-5 Indirect Reports 6-10 Stakeholders Internal CEO & ANZ Executive Team Leaders Africa, Middle East & Asia (AMEA) Regional HR Team ENGIE Impact ENGIE Group HR Team External Unions Regulatory bodies and tribunals Service providers (eg Employment Lawyers, Korn Ferry and training providers) Responsibilities | You may be requested to perform duties outside of the listed scope of responsibilities from time to time, as required Contribution to the ANZ business strategy and delivery of operational objectives As a member of the ANZ Executive Team, contribute to the ANZ business strategy development and implementation and act as an executive leader across all areas of the business, ensuring stakeholder management to deliver the business strategy and operational objectives in a collaborative manner. HR Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement the ANZ HR strategy aligned with the ENGIE Group HR strategy and local business unit (‘GBU’) strategies for Flexible Generation and Retail, Renewables, Energy Solutions and Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS). Analyse market trends, economic factors, and industry-specific challenges to create proactive HR plans, solutions and interventions. Collaborate with AMEA and ENGIE Group HR leaders to adapt and deploy company-wide HR initiatives at the country level. Oversee change management with HR initiatives at the country level. Talent Acquisition, Retention and Organisational Development Capability: Build individual, team and organisational capability to ensure ENGIE ANZ delivers on its purpose to accelerate the transition to a carbon neutral economy. Ensure development programs are based on the training needs analysis derived via the Performance, Planning and Review (PPR) process. Implement the talent acquisition and retention strategy to attract and retain high-calibre talents that align with the organization's values and competency requirements of the ENGIE Ways of Working (EWOWs) and ENGIE Ways of Leading (EWOLs), business strategy and talent management. Ensure the talent acquisition activities deliver effective and timely sourcing, screening and selection processes which are aligned with our diverse and inclusive culture. Implement performance management systems and processes to drive a culture of continuous feedback, coaching, and development. Monitor performance metrics and provide insights to support data-driven decision-making. Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives that promote a sense of belonging and encourage a high-performance culture by ensure the ANZ continues to increase the sense of inclusion and belonging for team members. Maintain existing external certifications for diversity and inclusion (WGEA of Choice ad Reconciliation Action Plans) and achieve EDGE certification and bronze tier status for the Australian Workplace Equity Index Deliver on the ENGIE Group targets of 50% female managers by 2030 and met annual targets. Employee Relations and Engagement: Ensure employee relations polices and procedures remain compliant with current legislation and that there is the required level of awareness of the policies and that applicable training for team members in relation to these obligations is undertaken annually. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by ensuring the HR team addresses employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances effectively in line with legal obligations and the company Workplace, Diversity and Inclusion policy. Accountable for the team case management of employee related legal action in relevant courts and tribunals. Responsible for the annual employee engagement survey (ENGIE & Me) and shared accountability with the ANZ Executive Team for maintaining the current level of sustainable engagement for team members. Ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act and relevant legislation, enterprise agreements and relevant Awards and regulations. Compensation and Benefits: Accountable for timely accurate and efficient payroll activities across ENGIE Group entities based in Australia in accordance with the Fair Work Act and relevant legislation, enterprise agreements and relevant Awards and regulations. Oversee the continual implementation of competitive compensation and benefits programs in line with ENGIE Group standards utilising the Korn Ferry Hay Job Evaluation methodology. Lead the design and implementation of the ENGIE ANZ local short term incentive program. Accountable for the annual remuneration review and bonus payments process in ANZ. Internal Communications Account for ensuring the development of quality content which is suitable for delivery across internal (employee) channels, and the delivery of communication strategies that improve the understanding of the ENGIE Group business, strategy, culture and capabilities for both current and prospective team members. HR Compliance and Ethics: Promote ethical behaviour and compliance with company policies throughout the organization. One Safety Play a lead role in supporting the health and safety function in the delivery of the One Safety strategy and necessary cultural change Shared accountability with the Health and Safety team to ensure the appropriate frameworks, policies and procedures and risk management strategies are in place to ensure that ENGIE ANZ meets its obligations under the relevant work and safety acts to take reasonable steps to provide as safe workplace for all team members, including psychosocial obligations.
