This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing our heavy vehicle fleet to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality mechanical services to support the smooth operation of our agricultural business. Key Responsibilities Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, your duties will include: General Duties: Perform daily pre-start checks and follow all safety protocols Comply with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and Environmental regulations Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment Work collaboratively as part of a team Maintenance Duties: Service, maintain, and repair a fleet of heavy vehicles and machinery Diagnose faults in engines, transmissions, and components Dismantle and assess mechanical systems Replace worn parts and conduct scheduled maintenance (e.g., oil changes, engine tune-ups)Reassemble and test mechanical systems Use diagnostic computers and tools to assess performance Weekly Inspections Required For: Tractors and 4-wheelers used for bell injection Side-by-sides Cutting crew tractors Qualifications/Skills: Commitment to Workplace Health and Safety Knowledge of agricultural machinery and equipment Good interpersonal and communication skills Ability to carry out mechanical and maintenance tasks independently Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems Experience in a similar mechanic or maintenance role Previous experience on a farm or in an agricultural environment Boiler maker or fabrication skills Why Work with Mackays Group?Join a well-established and respected agricultural business Work with a collaborative and professional team Opportunities for development and upskilling in a hands-on environment To Apply: Please submit your resume and cover letter via the APPLY NOW button
