Our Company BEC Engineering is a well-established and respected Electrical, Power and Control System Engineering firm based in West Perth. With a strong pipeline of work, we are looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer with 10+ years experience to join our team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager, this role forms part of the core professional consulting group and will contribute strongly to the overall design capability of the team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead the detailed engineering design of projects including the supervision and direction of engineering staff and designers.
Client-focused with the ability to identify opportunities, propose and win project work, and oversee the execution and delivery of these project works.
Oversee and review design deliverables including cable schedules, equipment lists, instrument lists, single lines, schematics, termination diagrams, 3 D model designs etc.
Equipment specification, selection and procurement.
Scoping electrical manufacturer and installation works and providing support and direction to contractors.
Key Requirements
Electrical Engineering Degree, recognised by Engineers Australia.
Project design experience ideally in mining or minerals processing applications.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to formulate, manage and meet project targets and budgets.
Communicate effectively with the electrical engineering team and project stakeholders, including the customers.
Strong background in the design of Motor Control Centres, Instrumentation specification and selection.
Ability to instruct and managedesigners/drafts people.
Experience in a consulting capacity.
A willingness to perform some site work and commissioning.
Well-developed interpersonal and communications skills.
