Swinburne University is seeking an experienced Manager, Health & Wellbeing to lead transformative wellbeing initiatives and shape the future of health, safety, and wellness across our community. As a key leader within the Health, Safety & Wellbeing team (People & Culture), you will design and drive the strategic direction of our Health and Wellbeing Framework. You’ll take ownership of programs that proactively address psychosocial risks and promote mental and physical wellbeing, making a tangible difference in the lives of our staff and students. In this impactful role, you’ll collaborate with diverse internal and external partners to deliver evidence-based systems, resources, and initiatives that foster a safe, thriving, and inclusive university environment. About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have extensive experience and demonstrated ability in a medium to large sized organisation, in the key accountabilities below: Extensive experience in managing psychological health and safety, ideally within a university or comparable setting. Proven ability to lead and develop comprehensive health and wellbeing programs. Strong understanding of legislative requirements and best practices in occupational health and safety. Experience in overseeing injury management processes, including rehabilitation and return-to-work programs. Effective leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams. Qualifications A postgraduate qualification in fields such as (Psychology, Health Promotion, Occupational Health & Safety, Public Health, Mental Health, Counseling or related disciplines) and extensive experience, or an equivalent combination of both.
