As an Outreach Education Worker, you'll play a pivotal role in empowering vulnerable and disengaged students to reclaim their education and unlock their potential. You'll be the driving force behind outreach education support and advocacy, working directly with children who are at risk of disengagement, helping them find their way back to learning. Opportunities: We have 1 Permanent Full-Time (38 hours per fortnight) and 1 Permanent Part-Time (45.6 hours per fortnight - 0.6 EFT) opportunity based in Footscray within our Mac Killop Education and Engagement Programs. The position reports to the Access Ed and Thrive Program Team Leader. Key Selection Criteria: To be successful in this role, you will have: Appropriate experience and qualifications in education. A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families. Experience working with children and young people who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from education. An understanding and commitment to the objectives and values of the organisation and a capacity to represent Mac Killop views as required by the role.
