The Opportunity
Samsung Electronics Australia is looking for a Senior Social Lead to join our Corporate Marketing (CM) division. As a senior member of the social team, this role helps to set the overarching social media approach for the Consumer Electronics (CE) business while also supporting and mentoring other team members to ensure Samsung consistently delivers best-in class social media campaigns.
The role requires a professional who has extensive social media experience, which includes an ability to develop, ‘sell-in’ and execute social strategies (including paid media campaigns through to organic social content programs), social media measurement and evaluation, content production and community management.
The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills and is able to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously. The role will best suit someone who is tenacious, accountable and will thrive in a very fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Role and Responsibilities
Responsible (along with other communications media leads) for the development and execution of Samsung’s overarching CE social media strategy to deliver business results and ensure Samsung is an innovator and leader in the industry.
Provide strategic counsel regarding paid media tactics, audience targeting and retargeting strategies and work collaboratively with CM and CE product marketing managers to deliver social media objectives.
Be a trusted advisor and the social media expert for the CE division, managing the development and execution of social media campaigns for CE marketing including overseeing other social media team members and agency partners.
Implementation of global and regional social media campaigns and assets, localising for an Australian audience and aligning to the local social strategy.
Work with the team to oversee the development and execution of Samsung’s organic content strategy, guiding the team to ensure best practice and to drive advocacy and engagement that builds or social media community.
Work alongside with social media leads within Samsung’s Mobile division (inc. mobile phones, tablets, laptops, wearables) to ensure consistency and cadence of organic content on owned channels drives advocacy while also managing any potential competing priorities.
Contribute to and develop social media briefs as well as support the engagement and management of agency partners.
Report on and analyse data from social channels to determine business impact and to enable ongoing optimisation including targeting and media buying.
Develop and maintain social media best practices including playbooks and benchmarks to help achieve KPIs and to continuously maximise ROI on social platforms.
Effectively build and manage measurement studies across multiple campaigns and platforms.
Line manage a team of 5 community and content managers.
Skills and Qualifications

To be successful for the role, you should have a "can do" attitude with a proactive approach. Relevant experience / skills include:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a social media role, preferably in marketing or social agency or within the marketing division of a global brand or large Australian corporation
Proven track record in developing and implementing strategic social media and influencer campaigns that deliver against marketing objectives
A deep understanding of social media metrics, trends and social products
Use of quantitative data to inform social strategies and a demonstrated ability to understand insights and data
Understanding of digital marketing including SEM, Programmatic and CRM and its integration with social
Content creation including developing ideas, planning and overall execution
Media buying and planning, proficiency using Facebook Business Manager
Facebook Ad Manager experience including campaign implementation, audience creation and analytical operation
Google Ads experience including campaign implementation, audience creation and analytical operation
Knowledge of Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Snapchat Ads, including campaign implementation and analytical operation
Knowledge of Pixel and SDK implementation
Knowledge of website UX design and management
Experience using Sprinklr will be highly regarded  
Line management of a small team
