About The Role:

The ShipStation Product team is responsible for helping shape the future of ShipStation, the largest of the products in the Auctane portfolio. We advocate on behalf of our customer’s problems to create a shared roadmap of planned future changes and work collaboratively with partners in Engineering and Design to bring these features to life.

As a Lead Product Manager at ShipStation, you will have collaborative input on the ShipStation product and business strategy and single-threaded responsibility for driving outcomes - owning your roadmap, defining requirements, and executing with a strong sense of urgency.

What you can expect from us:

Mix of working from home and in the office

Truly dynamic environment where you’re challenged every day

Strong team environment where we win and lose (rarely) together

Honest, transparent culture that encourages high performance

Become part of a business that is transforming the ecommerce fulfilment market

Real-time training, coaching and mentoring from leaders and colleagues

Opportunities to travel regularly in Australia and internationally

What We Are Looking For:

Bachelor's Degree preferred or a minimum of Four (3) years experience working in Product Management in eCommerce / shipping & logistics or Five (4) years of experience working in Product Management in an unrelated field.

Proven ability to drive decision-making through user insights and quantitative analysis and in leveraging data, research, and market analysis to inform product strategies and roadmaps

Experience formulating hypotheses, designing, running, and analyzing A/B tests to validate them.

Experience working with Developers and an understanding of how to collaborate, encourage, and inspire them.

Experience with UX and a perspective on what makes elegant, easy-to-use software.

What will Make You Stand Out:

You enjoy talking with customers and have experience learning from their pain points to discover new opportunities.

Your ego is not your amigo’ - you possess the ability to place the success of users and the business ahead of any particular idea (including your own).

Strong analytical, problem-solving thinking; you understand that saying no is as important as saying yes, and you use data to explain decisions.

Savvy organizational and interpersonal skills; the ability to adapt to changes and new ideas and to understand how to achieve outcomes in a rapidly changing environment

You love good brainstorming sessions where you collaborate with others to craft new ideas.

You creatively develop ways to generate the data that will help you drive decisions.

Coordinate with the Marketing and Content teams to develop marketing strategies and customer-facing educational content to support new features.

Ensure teams such as Sales, Partner Management, and Support are understood and are prepared

Law is a system of rules that are created and enforced through social or governmental institutions to regulate behavior. Law as a system helps regulate and ensure that a community show respect, and equality amongst themselves. State-enforced laws can be made by a collective legislature or by a single legislator, resulting in statutes, by the executive through decrees and regulations, or established by judges through precedent, normally in common law jurisdictions. Private individuals can create legally binding contracts, including arbitration agreements that may elect to accept alternative arbitration to the normal court process. The formation of laws themselves may be influenced by a constitution, written or tacit, and the rights encoded therein. The law shapes politics, economics, history and society in various ways and serves as a mediator of relations between people.

New South Wales (commonly abbreviated as NSW) is a state on the east coast of Australia. It borders Queensland to the north, Victoria to the south, and South Australia to the west. Its coast borders the Coral and Tasman Seas to the east. The Australian Capital Territory is an enclave within the state. New South Wales' state capital is Sydney, which is also Australia's most populous city. In June 2020, the population of New South Wales was over 8.1 million, making it Australia's most populous state. Just under two-thirds of the state's population, 5.3 million, live in the Greater Sydney area. The demonym for inhabitants of New South Wales is New South Welshmen. The Colony of New South Wales was founded as a British penal colony in 1788. It originally comprised more than half of the Australian mainland with its western boundary set at 129th meridian east in 1825. The colony then also included the island territories of Van Diemen's Land, Lord Howe Island, and Norfolk Island. During the 19th century, most of the colony's area was detached to form separate British colonies that eventually became the various states and territories of Australia. However, the Swan River Colony was never administered as part of New South Wales. Lord Howe Island remains part of New South Wales, while Norfolk Island has become a federal territory, as have the areas now known as the Australian Capital Territory and the Jervis Bay Territory.
