Hexagon Autonomous Solution comprises three divisions: Agriculture, Autonomy & Positioning, and Mining. Responsibilities

The Position

Reporting to the Vice President, Division General Counsel, and Division Compliance Officer based in the USA, and part of the global corporate services team, we are seeking to recruit an In-house Legal Counsel/Legal Secretary for the Hexagon Mining APAC region.

You will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for providing insightful, focused, and risk-based legal guidance aligned with business objectives. Additionally, you will maintain company registers, draft resolutions, and prepare board minutes.

Your role includes developing, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of complex commercial contractual agreements and government procurement transactions. Working closely with stakeholders, you will provide pragmatic, business-oriented solutions that manage legal risks while supporting business growth.

As part of a global legal and compliance team, you will collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, finance, and HR leaders on initiatives that align regional practices with global corporate governance standards.

Qualifications

About you

We seek an experienced In-house Counsel/Legal Counsel ready for the next career step, passionate about commercial and business legality, and eager to become an integral part of our leadership team as we expand our business and operational efficiency.

Ideal attributes include:

• A Bachelor of Law or Juris Doctor from an accredited university and a license to practice in your jurisdiction
• Experience in corporate commercial law, preferably in mining, technology, or IT software/services
• Strong business acumen to understand commercial demands
• Experience with sales lifecycle environments and contractual models is desirable but not essential
• Experience working in global markets, particularly across the APAC region, is desirable but not essential
• Ability to foster a collaborative culture with internal and external stakeholders
• Leadership and influence skills to drive positive change
• Valid Australian working rights – Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen
