About the Opportunity
We’re hiring full-time Solicitors in Darwin and Katherine, NT , to deliver civil legal services in family law, child protection, and domestic and family violence (DFV). You’ll partner with Aboriginal case support workers to provide culturally safe, trauma-informed legal assistance.
More specifically, your responsibilities include:
- Represent clients in family law, child protection, and DFV matters
- Deliver trauma-informed, culturally safe legal services
- Travel to remote communities as part of outreach and bush courts
- Work collaboratively in a bi-cultural team
- Provide legal education during field visits
The role includes regular travel to remote communities (1–2 trips/month) for court circuits and outreach.
About You
- Admitted legal practitioner in Australia, eligible for NT practising certificate
- Minimum 1 year post-admission legal experience
- Valid C Class Driver’s Licence
- Ability to travel by 4 WD or light aircraft
- Working with Children Clearance and clear criminal history
Highly desirable : experience in family law, DFV, child protection, or working with Aboriginal communities.
