About Your Opportunity Help shape the future of Seqwater’s recreation sites and erosion control program! We’re seeking a Lead – Recreation and Erosion Control to drive asset improvement projects and strategic initiatives that enhance recreation areas to provide sustainable opportunities for the community, and rehabilitate waterways for better water quality outcomes. In this influential role, you’ll lead a skilled team, overseeing projects from initiation to delivery, in alignment with Seqwater’s long term strategies. Your technical expertise in built asset construction, recreation management, catchment management and program management will be critical in collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and governance forums within the Naturals Program. If you're a proactive leader and passionate about recreation, catchment management and strategic delivery this is your chance to make a lasting impact!Key responsibilities: Lead and oversee planning and delivery of the Recreation and Erosion Control Programs applying outputs from strategic planning, to achieve recreation and water quality strategies. Actively review and maintain project and program performance within project software. Lead and oversee delivery and governance activities of the Recreation and Erosion Control Programs through application of sound project management approaches. Lead and provide direction for asset improvement projects through all phases of Seqwater’s Asset Lifecycle Framework from inception to close out. Represent Seqwater where required to collaborate across delivery programs, strategic projects, or external collaborative projects and opportunities relating to the Recreation and Erosion Control Programs. About you To be successful in this role, you will possess: Tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, science or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Substantial experience in project management of multiple complex projects or programs within the water and natural resource management industry. Strong experience in built asset delivery works directly applicable to recreation areas, such as carparks, wastewater systems, toilet blocks, playgrounds and boat ramps. Experience in catchment delivery works in/around waterways such as bank stabilisation, rock chutes and revegetation. Experience leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors to achieve natural asset improvement project objectives. Experience in the preparation of business cases, including management of the procurement process and development and execution of contracts. Class C Driver's Licence. This position will be offered as an individual TFR package with an attractive salary and is a permanent full-time role. Appointment to this role is subject to the provision of a national police check and may be subject to other medical/character requirements.
