Lead Pharmacist- Medication Safety and Quality Use of Medicine Employment Type : Temporary Full Time until September 2024. The Lead Pharmacist - Medication Safety and Quality Use of Medicines role, is a leadership and clinical role. The purpose of the role is to: lead, co-ordinate and manage the activities, programs and systems associated with Medication Safety and the Quality Use of Medicines, and; provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services. The role will work collaboratively at both the site/service level and across the district to maintain leadership and efficient performance of the SESLHD Medication Safety and Quality Use of Medicines program, and; provision of pharmacy services. The role will be based at Prince of Wales Hospital providing service with flexible hours across the seven day week, participating in on call, after hours, flexible work hours, weekend and public holiday work. The role may be required to work at different locations and Pharmacy Departments within South Eastern Sydney Local Health District. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing. All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. Significant experience and a demonstrated high level of competence, expertise, skill and application of clinical judgment relevant to Medication Safety and Quality Use of Medicines. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant state and national policies that facilitate Medication Safety and Quality Use of Medicine and understanding of contemporary issues and challenges in pharmacy service provision. Excellent written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to develop high quality written guidelines, procedures, educational, research or business materials. Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including communication, negotiation, team building, influencing, conflict resolution and the building of a positive workplace culture. Proven ability and commitment to effectively role model, champion and promote teamwork. Demonstrated skills and experience in managing a complex workload, problem solving and development and implementation of initiative. Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
