Recruiting the right people keeps our business growing and thriving.About the role We are looking for a professional and highly motivated Lawyer with experience in Corporate & Commercial with demonstrated experience in general corporate and commercial work, including purchase and sale of businesses, corporate structuring, intellectual property, franchising and trademarks.This is a busy practice area, with a strong base of existing clients, so your ability to relate well with clients is crucial. You will work closely with our Principal Lawyers and Senior Associates, including providing support and guidance to early career lawyers and law graduates.You will provide tailored advice on a variety of clients ranging from SMEs to large national organisations with a broad range of interesting and exciting work.You will be organised, motivated and feel confident working as part of a close team, with excellent attention to detail and a focus on responding to requests in a timely manner.We are looking for someone who is able to work full time or part time, which may include working across five days with reduced hours or a compressed working week and could be based in either our Geelong or Melbourne office with flexibility to work from home as well.Specialised, tailored adviceFocused partnerships with clientsA proven ability to problem solveAccuracy and attention to detailEfficient time management to maintain control of key prioritiesPresentations to current and potential clientsYou will have experience in: Purchase and sale of businesses with experience in legal and commercial negotiationsEquity structuring including employee incentive schemesInsolvency AdvicePrivacy LawsFinancing and Security documentsCorporations Law including capital raising and capital reductions, share buybacksIntellectual Property including trademarks and licencing agreementsIT agreementsFranchisingWith a focus on high performance, an engaged culture and our community, we are proud of our people and our history.
