Description

An experienced consulting professional who has a broad understanding of Oracle Utilities products (CC&B, MDM, SGG, or others), industry best practices, and multiple business processes and technology designs within the Oracle Utilities product/technology family. This resource will work directly with client’s core business team to ensure focus on business case objectives, leveraging best practice processes across the solution set, and scope management. This role also involves developing practical and creative solutions in a way that solves business problem. Facilitates workshops with clients to deliver a clear specification of the customer’s business requirements and a business-justified solution. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices. Demonstrates expertise to deliver detailed functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements. May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. May act as the team lead on projects, providing coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of less experienced team members. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Mentor junior resources on product and best practice Contribute to reusable collateral/accelerators Knowledge sharing across peer group Actively support Business Development / Sales opportunities Project engagements Apply professional mastery and industry-wide understanding of technology, tools and methodologies to develop solutions in leading edge or critical situations. Guide clients towards solutions that leverage Oracle base system functionality and best practices in the industry. Guide and facilitate system configuration. Develop functional design specifications independently for moderate to complex requirements, and develop functional designs for very complex requirements with some support from a senior designer Anticipate future customer, industry and information technology trends. Perform Business process modelling (experience with Oracle Utilities Reference model is a plus). Review and understand multiple designs and ensure formation of a creative and cohesive solution. Work closely with the client to understand and manage their expectations, as well as working closely with Oracle and third-party vendors to ensure delivery. Be responsible for ensuring that a quality, integrated software solution is delivered in a timely manner, at budget, and to our client's satisfaction. Required qualifications include: B.S. or B.A. degree in either Management Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, STEM subject, or equivalent. Oracle Utilities products (CC&B, MDM, CSS, etc) experience, or similar CIS solutions, on at least two implementation projects. Experience facilitating workshops, guiding the client to a recommended solution, and owning the delivery of it. Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients Hands on experience with Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF) including Configuration Tools would be ideal Proven hands-on SQL and Java troubleshooting experience Knowledge of Design and Customizations of Java Based Applications Good understanding of the Design, Development, Testing and Release phases of the SDLC. Oracle Utilities products Implementation Specialist certification Good understanding of business processes and Business Process Modeling experience 6-8 years overall relevant experience including at least 3 in consulting Strong written and spoken English communication skills are required – heavy client facing role Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio) Ability to travel to client locations throughout the APAC region on a regular basis This role can be based anywhere within Australia.
