The Role
On the road in your own car, mobile nursing service delivery to home & community care clients across Melbourne's metropolitan area. The role involves assessments, wound care, clinical reviews, continence and catheter care, palliative and end of life care, dementia support, NDIS complex care management, client and carer education, immunisations, and more.
Depth and breadth of experience is a must, coupled with a deeply passionate, respectful, and caring holistic approach to the home nursing environment. Previous critical care, emergency nursing or community nursing experience is highly regarded.

Advanced Clinical Scope in the Home
Chronic wound care, including complex and non-healing wounds
Male and female catheter care (IDC and SPC)
Continence assessments and management planning
Chronic disease monitoring and clinical oversight within the home environment
Palliative and end of life care, supporting clients and families with dignity and compassion

Hours
Casually employed with availability over a minimum of 3 full days per week. Flexible working hours to suit you, with opportunity to attend emergency call outs on weekends and after hours.

The Successful Candidate Key Criteria
Based in Melbourne's suburbs, with the opportunity to work across wider Melbourne
Recent model smart phone, printer/scanner, laptop/desktop computer
Software and App literacy
Comprehensively insured car and current unrestricted valid driver's licence
Excellent ability to deliver client and carer education face to face
All minimum requirements as a qualified and currently practising Registered Nurse for this sector, including but not limited to:
AHPRA
WWCC (Vic)
National Criminal History Check/Police Check showing no disclosable court outcomes or convictions, and no greater than 3 years since issue
Accredited BLS
Accredited First Aid
Accredited Anaphylaxis (for nurse immunisers)
Accredited Manual Handling
Covid training
Vaccinations as mandated for this sector
NDIS worker orientation
NDIS worker screening check
Demonstrated reliability and flexibility as a positive team member, with an exceptional and down-to-earth manner with clients, and proficient communication skills
Occasional visits to the WHG office in Diamond Creek may be required
No less than 10 years current experience as RN
Available to work across a minimum of 3 full days per week (weekday) with willingness for occasional after hours or weekends
